The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to work with a committed and professional Council body to serve the residents and businesses of Molescroft, providing maternity cover for the Clerk to the Council. As Clerk to the Council, you are responsible for all aspects of Council business including managing staff, budgets, and all corporate governance requirements. This includes business planning, policy review and development, project management, risk management and budgetary controls. 

Hours and place of work

The role is fixed term for 11 months and home based, and you are required to work flexibly for 25 hours per week (100 per month) in discharging the duties. You will work closely with all Councillors and service full Council and Committee meetings during the year. Currently Council meets eleven (11) times throughout the year on the third Thursday of the month with additional ad-hoc meetings as the business requires. 

Reward and Recognition

The current level of remuneration for the role is £16,764 per annum with additional role related benefits.
