Actions of the Parish Council during Covid-19 Outbreak.

In relation to the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, at the Parish Council Meeting held on 19th March 2020, the Council resolved that the day to day operations of the Council, for the extent of the period of constraint by the Coronavirus, be delegated to the Clerk in consultation with the Chairman and/or the Vice Chairman. Subject to legislation, the minutes from this meeting will be approved via email. All future meetings will be cancelled until further notice, but the Pavilion will be kept open until Government advice instructs otherwise.

The Pavilion will remain open to allow Andrew and Peter to carry out maintenance work, whilst adhering to government advice in regards to social distancing.

Cllr Heffer has formed Beverley Mutual Aid, a group providing support to vulnerable members of the community. It has been agreed that the Parish Council will donate £100 to the group, to pay for the printing of flyers to be distributed in the local area.

Molescroft Headteacher awarded Millenium Cup

In December, the Parish Council awarded the Millenium Cup to Michael Loncaster, Headteacher of Molescroft Primary School. The Millenium Cup was integrated for the Queen's Golden Jubilee, and is awarded to people who make a big contribution to the parish.

Acorns to Oaks - Tree Planting in Molescroft

In keeping with the Parish Councils ambition to ensure Molescroft is a green, vibrant and pleasant place to live and visit, the Council have commenced a programme of tree planting in and around the Parish. This is a priority for the Council and is being carried out in partnership with the local Rotary Club who have a keen interest in helping with this work. This oak is the first of many, planted with the help of Councillors Mac Fleming, Jackie Heffer and Assistant Pavilion Manager Peter Wiles. Thanks to all for helping to make this happen!

Molescroft Remembers

Members of the Community and Councillors joined in remembering the fallen at services throughout the Parish on Sunday 10th November 2019. Chairman of the Parish Council, Mike Hildyard attended the service at St Leonards Church, Molescroft whilst Vice Chairman Councillor Mac Fleming laid a wreath on behalf the Parish Council at the memorial in Beverley. Lest we forget.

Pavilion Improvements: take a look!

There have been key changes over the summer months at the Pavilion both inside and out, including the addition of an excellent community Petanque facility. This is proving extremely popular with residents from across Molescroft and beyond, which the Council are delighted to see. Going forward, should individuals and or teams wish to book the facility for sole use, this can be done through the Activities and Pavilion Manager on 07908 654030 and will be subject to Council hire terms and conditions.
